MEET ZOE: She lives on the Surf Coast, is a yoga instructor and colonic hydrotherapist, and is very health and holistically-lifestyle focused. In the past she’s had dreadlocks and braids, which were done during a trip to Bali.
ZOE’S CHALLENGE: Zoe had suffered from extreme breakage and hair loss due to her braids and the prior damage brought on by her dreadlocks. “I used to have thick, long hair but the people who did my braids used a gel that destroyed my hair,” she shares.
“I had to cut/rip a lot of hair out. I literally heard the snapping of my hair in my ear. My hair was SO thin and needed a lot of work and love.”

Zoe's submission photo shows extreme breakage and damage from removing the braids.

These photos show the amount of hair that broke off when Zoe's braids were removed.
ZOE’S BESPOKE ROBE RITUAL:
Lauren created a personalised plan for Zoe to help bring her hair back to life and support each strand for ongoing strength and growth.
Each product within this list was chosen with a clear purpose: to strengthen, soften, and protect Zoe’s hair while encouraging growth. Our long term goal was to help her growth her hair out to the length and fullness Zoe had previously experienced.
Lauren’s first priority was to stop the breakage and split ends from travelling any further up the hair strands, and help her to feel less stressed about washing and caring for her hair while it was still so fragile.
THE PRODUCTS:
Week1-4
THE ROUTINE:
- The Lengthening Shampoo and Conditioner, 2-3x per week
- The Leave-In Treatment on the ends of her hair after every wash
- The Tonic on the scalp for the next day or two after washing her hair
- Massaging the scalp softly every second night
- Brushing hair from ends up, very slowly and small segments to ensure no further breakage or damage by rushing
- Drying her hair with a soft t-shirt instead of a towel, and letting it air-dry naturally wherever possible.

Using an old soft T-shirt to dry the hair is a gentle option for fragile and weakened strands, and Zoe was fully commited to doing everything possible to improve her hair health.
THE SCHEDULE:

By Week 4
We sent Zoe the Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner to give her hair more volume and fullness.
“From Day 1 to Week 4 of only using ROBE, I noticed a significant difference in the shine of my hair, and it felt so soft,” Zoe says. “Friends began noticing changes too, saying my hair looked like it did years earlier before bleaching and damage.” Zoe also reported less scalp build-up and oiliness between washes.

By Week 6
Zoe commented on a noticeable reduction in breakage between the mid to end of her strands, noting it was returning back to the type of hair she had when she was younger.

By Week 12
We sent Zoe the Youthful Shampoo and Conditioner as she still felt her ends were looking somewhat wispy. After using this and enjoying how silky, soft and beautiful her hair felt – we decided it might be too nourishing for her roots. With this in mind, we customised her routine again and settled on the perfect combination of the Lengthening Shampoo and Youthful Conditioner for the final weeks of the study. “I love the Lengthening Shampoo – my hair feels so clean when I use it,” says Zoe. “My scalp feels brand new and better than any hairdressing products I’ve used in the past.”
By the end of the study, Zoe’s transformation was remarkable. Not only had her shedding reduced completely, her hair strength, shine, and overall health had all reached the most optimal improvement levels. “My hairbrush hardly has any hair in it when I brush it now,” she says. “It’s growing so much faster, and the ends don’t snap anymore.”
Over the 16 weeks of the study, Zoe's hair achieved full recovery across key areas including strength, smoothness, scalp health, and manageability - with each factor scoring at or near 100% improvement. Her hair now feels thicker, healthier, and more resilient than it has in years. Her sense of confidence has also returned and is just as noticeable as the physical results.

*all results are based on each participant's own personal evaluation of their hair before, during, and upon completion of the study.
